Customer story · B2B communications SaaS platform

How EZESMS got a Wyoming LLC, US banking and Stripe in 20 days

EZESMS is an Egyptian B2B communications SaaS platform that could not complete verification with Telnyx, its voice and messaging provider, without a US business. Foundlie formed its Wyoming LLC, obtained the EIN, and worked the bank application through a hold where the founder's address could not be verified. The business bank account and Stripe were operational 20 days after the order started.

Background

EZESMS is an Egyptian B2B communications SaaS platform. It helps business customers manage SMS, email and voice communication workflows from one system.

The immediate blocker was verification. EZESMS runs its voice and messaging traffic through Telnyx, and the provider verifies the business behind the account before that traffic can flow. The platform could not complete that verification without a US business, so the product itself was waiting on the company.

Behind that sat the same need in a longer form: a US structure that matched how the platform served international customers and collected payments. That meant establishing the company first, obtaining its EIN, and then preparing the banking and Stripe setup with consistent business information.

The challenge

The work involved several dependent steps. The Wyoming company had to be formed before the EIN documentation could support the banking and payment applications. The applications also needed a clear description of the SaaS product, its business customers and how funds would move through the company.

Because the founder was based in Egypt, the setup had to be completed remotely — and that is where the banking stage stalled. The bank could not verify the founder's address from the documents first supplied, so the application sat on hold rather than moving to a decision.

The bank and Stripe would still assess the business independently, so complete documents and consistent answers were important without implying that approval was guaranteed.

What Foundlie did

Foundlie organized the setup as one sequence beginning on April 20:

  • Prepared and completed the Wyoming LLC formation with a registered-agent arrangement.
  • Followed the EIN process and organized the IRS confirmation with the company records.
  • Helped prepare the business banking and Stripe setup using a consistent description of EZESMS and its B2B communications product.
  • Reworked the address documentation with the founder when the bank could not verify the address on the first submission, and followed the application through from there.
  • Reviewed the application requirements and followed up until both services completed their reviews.

The bank and Stripe controlled their own review criteria and made their own approval decisions. Foundlie prepared and supported the applications but did not guarantee either outcome.

Timeline

  1. Order started and formation prepared Day 0 · April 20 Prepared

Foundlie reviewed the business requirements and prepared the Wyoming formation path and required company information.

  2. Wyoming LLC approved Day 7 · April 27 Approved

EZESMS LLC completed formation in Wyoming with its registered-agent arrangement in place.

  3. EIN confirmation received Day 11 · May 1 Approved

The IRS-issued EIN documentation was received and added to the company setup records.

  4. US banking and Stripe operational Day 20 · May 10 Operational

The bank account application was held at first because the founder's address could not be verified; once that documentation was reworked, the account and the Stripe setup became operational after the providers completed their independent reviews.

The result

EZESMS LLC completed its Wyoming formation on April 27 and received its EIN documentation on May 1. On May 10, 20 days after the order began, its US business bank account and Stripe setup were operational.

The company could then complete its Telnyx verification, operate through its US entity and receive international customer payments through the approved setup. The result gave EZESMS a documented company, tax identity and payment infrastructure aligned with its B2B SaaS operations.

Frequently asked questions

What did the 20-day timeline include?
It ran from the EZESMS order starting on April 20 to its business bank account and Stripe becoming operational on May 10. Wyoming formation was completed on April 27, and the EIN documentation was received on May 1.
Which services did Foundlie provide for EZESMS?
Foundlie supported the Wyoming LLC formation, EIN, registered-agent arrangement, business bank application and Stripe account setup. The scope was coordinated as one sequence so each completed document supported the next application.
Why did EZESMS need a US company to use Telnyx?
Telnyx verifies the business behind a voice and messaging account, and EZESMS could not complete that verification on its existing setup. A US company with its own EIN and business records gave the platform an entity the provider could verify, which is why formation came first in the sequence rather than alongside the banking.
What happens when the bank cannot verify your address?
The application is held rather than refused. On this setup the founder's address could not be verified from the documents first supplied, so the address documentation was reworked until it matched what the bank could check, and the application went through on that basis. It is one of the most common holds on a US business bank account opened from abroad.
Did Foundlie guarantee the bank or Stripe approvals?
No. Foundlie prepared and reviewed the setup with EZESMS, but the bank and Stripe performed their own reviews and made the final approval decisions.
What ongoing obligations does the company have?
The company must keep its registered agent active, file the Wyoming annual report, maintain accurate business records, and complete the applicable US tax and information filings. Foundlie's [US LLC tax guide](/us-tax) explains the general filing framework.

These are individual experiences. Check your selected package for its scope; bank and payment providers make their own approval decisions.
