Is your website ready for Stripe?

Stripe rejects or freezes accounts when the merchant's site is missing basics. Paste your address and we'll read your site the way a Stripe reviewer does and tell you exactly what to fix.

Takes about a minute. We only read public pages and never store your visitors' data.

How the check works

  1. 1

    We read your site

The home page plus the pages most likely to hold your policies, prices and contact details — up to eight pages.

  2. 2

    We judge each requirement

Every item is compared against what Stripe's reviewers expect, with a quote from your own page as evidence.

  3. 3

    You get a fix-it list

Concrete, page-by-page instructions in plain language, ready to hand to your developer or fix yourself.

The 13 things Stripe looks for

Stripe publishes what a merchant website must show. Most rejections we see trace back to one of these.

  • 01

    Legal business name

Stripe matches the name on your site to the legal entity on the account.

  • 02

    Business address

A site with no address reads as an anonymous seller.

  • 03

    Customer support contact

Customers who cannot reach you dispute the charge instead.

  • 04

    Description of goods or services

Reviewers must understand what you sell within seconds.

  • 05

    Prices visible before checkout

Hidden prices are one of the commonest rejection reasons.

  • 06

    Currency stated

Buyers must know which currency they will be charged in.

  • 07

    Refund policy

Unclear refund terms drive chargebacks; issuers ignore terms nobody was shown.

  • 08

    Cancellation policy

Subscriptions and made-to-order goods need their own cancellation rules.

  • 09

    Terms of service

Terms the customer accepted are your evidence in a dispute.

  • 10

    Privacy policy

Card network rules require one for online payments.

  • 11

    Fulfilment and delivery terms

"When do I get it?" left unanswered becomes a not-received dispute.

  • 12

    Statement descriptor notice

A charge the customer does not recognise becomes a fraud claim.

  • 13

    Restricted-business check

What the site sells must match the application and stay off Stripe's restricted list.

Why Stripe rejects websites

Stripe's underwriting team opens your website before approving your account, and again whenever chargebacks rise. A site without refund terms, a privacy policy, visible prices or a way to contact you looks like a risk they would rather not carry. Fixing these before you apply is the single cheapest way to avoid a frozen account later.

Frequently asked questions

Is this checker really free?

Yes. There is no signup and no card. To keep it free and abuse-proof, each visitor can run a small number of checks per day, and a site that was checked recently is served from that result.

Does passing every item guarantee Stripe approval?

No. Stripe also reviews your business type, country, identity documents and processing history. The checker covers the website part of that review, which is the part you fully control.

My site is built on Shopify, Wix or Framer. Does it work?

Yes. We render pages in a real browser, so content loaded with JavaScript is read too. If the browser path is unavailable we fall back to raw HTML and say so in the report.

What do you store?

The address you entered, the pages we read, and the resulting report, kept for 30 days so you can reopen it in this browser. We never store your customers' data and we do not log in to anything.

Can Foundlie fix the problems for me?

Yes. We write the legal pages, set up a US LLC if you need one, and prepare the Stripe and bank applications. Send us your report on WhatsApp and we will quote the work.

Does the checker work for Mercury or other bank applications?

This public tool checks Stripe requirements only. Our team runs a separate Mercury readiness review for customers during bank setup.
